Watershed Discovery (Grades 3–8)

A multi-visit field program in which students investigate a local stream or wetland over the course of a semester. Includes water-quality monitoring, macroinvertebrate sampling, and a culminating community presentation.

Summer Educator Institute
K–12 teachers and informal educators

Summer Educator Institute

An immersive, week-long professional development institute combining field ecology, pedagogy, and curriculum design. Graduate credit available through partner universities.

Community Restoration Days
Volunteers ages 12+

Community Restoration Days

Monthly habitat restoration workdays at partner sites — planting native species, removing invasives, and stabilizing streambanks. Each event begins with an instructor-led ecology briefing.

Stream Stewards (community science)

Trained volunteers monitor 18 sites across our service region, contributing data to state water-quality programs.

Family Forest Walks

Free guided walks led by partner naturalists at public preserves on the second Saturday of each month.

Schoolyard Habitat Grants

Mini-grants and design support for schools establishing pollinator gardens and outdoor classrooms.

Teen Conservation Corps

A summer cohort program for high school students interested in conservation careers.
